Hello there! I’m Lucy McInally, otherwise known as The Inclusive Coworker.

When I first joined a coworking space in 2021, the energy of togetherness, sense of belonging, and simple joy of working alongside others showed me how coworking can help build meaningful connections. I was instantly hooked.

But The Inclusive Coworker isn’t about my story.

It’s about us — the coworking owners and founders, community managers and builders, community members….everyone within the coworking ecosystem who shares a similar belief: that coworking should be about community, and making everyone feel welcome and included.

This is the place where we explore the human side of coworking. The newsletter that empowers community builders who are creating personal, connected, and unforgettable spaces.

What to expect

Each edition of The Inclusive Coworker brings you insights, stories, and ideas that create more human, intentional, and inclusive spaces.

To get an initial flavour, have a read of these two most-read editions:

People Make Coworking

Each fortnightly(ish!) edition shares an interview with a coworking space founder as part of the People Make Coworking series. Their journeys into coworking vary; sometimes it’s intentional, other times, serendipitous, and typically very personal.

This series features coworking enthusiasts, founders, and operators from all over the world — from UK high streets to Australian cities; Californian mountains to South African towns.

Your support means the world

The Inclusive Coworker is a reader-supported publication. Subscribe to receive every edition straight into your inbox.

Consider becoming a paid subscriber to honour the time and care that goes into each piece for just £5 a month (the price of a coffee in London) or £37 a year.

For founding members (£90 a year), I’m giving you a bespoke 1-hour session to talk about what people look for in coworking. We’ll explore community, marketing, and workspace design, tapping into my knowledge and skills.

My ambition is that this newsletter supports and inspires you, wherever you are on your coworking journey.

Let’s get to work,

Lucy
